Job Order Automation
Primary features of the code automation.
1. User administered list of URLs or RSS feeds to “grab” from. (add, delete function).
2. If RSS feed, then format. If URL then navigate to the Jobs Page.
a. Login to the URL.
b. Navigate to the page to be scraped.
3. Scrape all Job order content bucket content. If all on top page, grab all. If list of Job and description is a link, click and grab link content.
a. “Company” source = URL source
b. Job Title, Salary, Location, Description.
4. Produce an RSS feed and ATS Upload File (XLS)
a. RSS contains exact source from above. All jobs to source URLs.
b. XLS file will use a bucket code name ‘eJob’ for each company so that all URL Sources/Company names in spreadsheet appear as eJob as the company.
5. Test and schedule. Allow manual check of data integrity. If all is correct, create a scripted batch production schedule. (Once a week, month, etc).
6. Archives RSS feed. Manually HFCN Recruiting team will load the resulting file into the HFCN Applicant Tracking System (Sendouts.com)
Jobs board we are integrating to is an ISV Software Applicant Tracking System built on the Microsoft.NET platform and includes 64-bit technology, Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and Windows 2003. It will allow a bulk update of a spreadsheet for job orders.
