Head of IT Architecture Governance Board (AGB)

To help overcome tomorrow’s exploration and production challenges, our company’s tools offer greater precision and tighter integration across all workflows. This position as head of the AGB has been established is to provide governance around the development of software architectures and projects alignment in our company. This role will lead and steer the steering committee of the AGB as it conducts its business. Ideally, the Head of IT Architecture Governance Board is already experienced in architectural governance. Preferably a recent subject matter expert in the area of software architectures either from an application, information management or system perspective in their current or previous roles.  Note that this is not so much a “consulting” role as an operative practitioner in IT Architectural governance and collaboration for sound process design and continuous process improvement.

The full charter of the AGB is evolving to include aspects of architectural model formulation, governance during implementation and internal articulation and advocacy. Working directly for the Director of Strategy, this role is pivotal in ensuring wise choices in what to build and to manage the integrity and timely delivery to the projects to which we commit funding.
