CAREER PORTFOLIO: Key Words: Working to your Advantage..

Many decisions are made about one’s future based upon the content of your career portfolio, so what have YOU done for you lately?
Empires have been built around “Search Engine Optimization” whether it applies to gaining hits from a search engine it is the website content that creates opportunities, or eliminates opportunity.
Rejected resumes do not always tell the full story, so your recruiter might employ a variety of tools to assess your complimentary skills to their needs.
Here are some ideas for being a good opportunity agent with your career portfolio. More matches for your job search or candidate search… Key Words are necessary to paint a picture, and the subject matter expertise makes a difference in the opportunities you might appear to shine for.
KEYWORDS APPLICATION :
- Cover Letter – highlight skills, value, why me?
- Career Summary – introduces your skills/ideal job
- Social Network Profile – highlights where and what of your experience.
- Social Networking Endorsements – others words describing your excellent qualities
STEPS TO OPTIMIZE:
- Identify the job opportunities you are most interested in. Observe across two or more high level categories, the terminology they use to describe what success looks like for you and where you have experience, model those keywords that apply for the market you most want to apply for.
- Consider the extra opportunities you might be interested in entertaining. Summarize those skills that best position you for crossover opportunities in other areas that might be using a common set of skills in a more interesting way.
- Bring your best. The secret is not in verbosity but clarity. Review your resume for generic skills that can be made more specific to your advantage. Where have YOU brought needed solutions?

Claim your Career Why wait, the advantage is NOW?

Helping Friends Career Network accepted invitation to participate in a new recruiting networking– that introduces thrilling new Human Resources, Recruiting 2.0 Technology, expand partnerships, creates more matching opportunity, with standard client and candidate confidentiality.
Exciting buzz is highly motivated recruiters, flexible technology, and professionals bringing collaboration to your career benefit! The technology invitation allows us to advance and match more opportunities with appeal to a wider market. Recruiting works best as a partnership, not a ‘proprietary trade secret’. The technology and industry requires us to work together. Developers in applicant tracking and job boards are starting to really get, and implement for that exchange. It will take a few months to get training for all our recruiters on this network functionality now, however it is available and some of our candidates and clients started receiving the benefits on December 6!
Developers are working on a new technology that will extend functionality to include our newly established, and radically growing community of Recruiting Professionals!
